Stefanie Powers has a career spanning nearly five decades, beginning as a teenager under contract to Columbia Pictures in the last days of the studio star system. She has over 27 motion pictures to her credit and has co-starred with such as; John Wayne, Lana Turner, Ava Gardner, Bing Crosby, Bobby Darrin, Troy Donahue, Roger Moore, Talullah Bankhead, James Garner, Elliott Gould, Michael Douglas, Lee Remick, Glenn Ford, Anthony Hopkins, Helen Hayes, Robert Morse, Boris Karloff, Peggy Lee, Noel Harrison, Sandra Dee and Robert Wagner, which whom she starred in her 3rd long-running television series, “Hart to Hart”. She regularly appears on television and in films as well as on stage in the United States and the United Kingdom, both dramatically and in the musical theater. Her “other life” is in wildlife conservation and she heads two long-running organizations which she created; The William Holden Wildlife Foundation and The Jaguar Conservation Trust. She is a Fellow of the Los Angeles Zoo, The Royal Geographical Society and the Explorers’ Club. Stefanie Powers is the recipient of many conservation awards and she has participated in numerous documentaries on wildlife, conservation and the environment.

Who came up to reading by the 70s, connected to the ‘Dawn Club’ (Clube da Madrugada), which was an innovative movement of the Arts in Amazonas. He has published several books, being many of them about Amazonian themes: ‘The Sermon on the Jungle’ (O Sermão da Selva) (poem) ; ‘The Lord of Water’ (Nosso Senhor das Águas ), a nationally awarded novel ; ‘Our Lady of Manaus’ (Nossa Senhora de Manaus), prayers and psalms ; ‘The Green Love Tiara’ (Tiara do Verde Amor), triple crown of sonnets ; and ‘Manaus of all life’ (Manaus de Toda a Vida), number of poems and prose published in ‘A Crítica’. He is a member of the Geographic and Historical Institute of the Amazon and was president of the Amazonas Academy of Letters and Arts. His work was commented upon by literary figures such as Carlos Drummond de Andrade, Arthur Reis, Paulo Rónai, Marcos Vilaça, Dom Paulo Evaristo Arns, Ledo Ivo, and Antônio Olinto. In the government of Amazonino Mendes, he was Special Advisor to the Civil House, Sub-secretary of State for Culture and Tourism and Advisor to the Rector of the Amazonas Federal University. In the Amazon Network Television, he was commentator for Literature. On the Rio Mar Radio he has, currently, the program “Um olhar para a vida”.

Rob Stewart, born in Toronto, Canada, is an award-winning wildlife photographer and the director of the documentary “Sharkwater” in 2006. He began photographing underwater when he was thirteen. He became a certified scuba instructor trainer at age eighteen, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Western Ontario. He has studied Marine Biology and Zoology at universities in Kenya and Jamaica. He spent four years traveling the world as the chief photographer for the Canadian Wildlife Federation magazines, and has logged thousands of hours underwater. His work underwater and on land has appeared in nearly every media form worldwide, from BBC Wildlife, Asian Diver, Outpost and GEO magazines to the Discovery Channels, ABC & BBC.

Rosaly Lopes

Dr. Rosaly Lopes is a Senior Research Scientist at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where she is also Lead Scientist for Geophysics and Planetary Geosciences. An expert on volcanism on Earth and the planets, Dr Lopes currently studies ice volcanism on Saturn's moon Titan as a member of the Cassini mission. She previously worked on the Galileo mission researching Jupiter's moon Io, where she discovered 71 active volcanoes and was named in the Guinness Book of World Records for discovering the greatest number of active volcanoes anywhere. She has published over one hundred scientific papers and four books. She has received many awards, including the Carl Sagan Medal from the American Astronomical Society, in recognition for her work communicating science to the public, and the NASA Exceptional Service Medal.
